Games you're currently playing.

League of Legends, a little Starcraft 2, a little MTGO.

Mostly playing "try to balance working and going to school full time".

It's not really a game, but I'm in Second Life, as creator, since 2007. It's funny, and it makes money when you know how to use photoshop, maya, blender, poser, and the inworld tools... ;)
Otherwise, I play the Sims 3, sometimes. Maybe I'll be back on Dungeons & Dragons Online soon, I miss it. But MMORPGs take a lot of time, I know it, I started with Ultima Online, a loooong time ago (in my mind, still the best MMORPG system ever done).

I'm currently playing LOTRO and also Civ IV: Beyond the Sword with the Rise of Mankind mod. I highly recommend the mod, adds so much to the game.

I tried to get into second life. I have no idea what I am doing though. I'm the guy walking around in my underwear on the help board with everyone laughing at me.

Hehe, we all started that way. Being a noob can be hard, but that's the best moment to meet people. Once you're an advanced avatar, no one dares talking to you.
It's called "second life", so, it's like in the real one: you have to find what to do. But there are plenty of things to do. First, visit, you'll find places for Roleplay, places to help new comers to create stuff, places for cybersex too, lol.

Just beat Portal, starting Portal 2... dabbling with Force Unleashed 2 but Portal is more my speed.

Just started mass effect 2 and just finished assassins creed brotherhood I skipped that one and went to revelations so I had to learn the rest of the story.

Diablo 3 was such a letdown for me. I played way too much d2 years ago, and the item hunt just seemed so dumbed down and unrewarding. Leveling to 60 was fun but after that it was too much grind and not enough reward. Unique dropped like candy and had interesting effects in d2, the legendaries in d3 never drop, are worse than any rare, and the rares you are looking for arent exciting. Vit+main stat+resistance+crit or whatever other cookie cutter build you are going for. Build diversity is a joke.

The real money auction house caused an influx of professional botters -

images.gizorama.com/2012/07/Y4EyA-590x214.jpg

That's a wall of computers each running 10-15 bots in virtual machines. This combined with ah bots and early exploiters, destroyed the economy less than a month in, ruining the average players chance at advancing. Reading on some forums, blizzard completely dropped the ball on stopping bots. People were running bots that were doing 10 clicks or searches in the auction house per second, clicking the same pixel(no button detection or random range of pixels, no random delay between clicks) and running 2-4 weeks 24/7 before getting banned. Oh and most of them made enough to buy 30-100 accounts before getting banned.. worst of all blizzard wouldn't even ban the mule account, the account the bot transferred all the gold to in case they got banned.

So many things took a step back from diablo 2( not even going to get into trade scamming, which blizzard basically allows now), its obvious they scrapped everything blizzard north did before activision took over and put profiting off the RMAH over fun gameplay.

Playing LoL and some counter strike, waiting to try for torchlight 2 to come out(more of a sequel to d2 than d3, made by the people that made d2 and left when they got bought out)

Defense Grid Awakening

As far as I know its the only decent Tower Defense game for PC (TD is my favourite genre these days).

The other noteable quality game experiences I have had in the last 12 months are

Kingdom Rush (which is freakin awesome, and FREE)

and

Skyrim

Nice, I'll check those out. I played my share of TD on warcraft 3 custom maps and on my phone.. most of the phone ones are kind of shallow for gameplay.

So who is getting ready to play Kung Fu Panda 2 when it launches in a month ... or as the world knows it World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaren

lol ... I am still on the fence about buying this expansion ... Pandas... really?

I agree - Diablo 3's loot drops now are a far cry from what they were during the beta and the first week after the full game came out. I really don't know how many quivers of "I don't need anymore quivers" I can stand. It's gotten to the point that I only pick up the rare (yellow) item drops now.

I play it solo just for the fun but I'm sure once I've hit level 60 in all classes, i will move on to something else.

I will say that I've played four characters so far (three are currently in the Hell mode) and I've only had three Legendary items drop and you are correct - they are not "legendary" to me. Most of the rare items I've found are much better.

Blizzard has caved in to the "let's upsell" mode of thinking. While I don't blame them for trying to generate more money, I do have an issue with them punishing the legitimate players while allowing bots and hacks to remain.
