From the NYT: Sick of A.I. Slop? So Are Tech Giants.

I'm both surprised and not surprised at how quick this came. I am not due to the rate at which slop is made we have easily reached the overload threshold for the consumers I am just surprised with the push for AI that any company would actually acknowledge it yet.

It said someone shared it with me but it still wanted my email address to read it.View attachment 18362
I just checked a link I created in my NYT account and got the same thing. So at some time in the not too distant past NYT forced this on everyone. As far as I know WSJ is still open but I can easily see that changing to just what NYT does. I'd bet the other options, like share via email, may not do that since they'll automatically get some info.

I told my graq

Not long ago I told my granddaughter that we used to have to get up and walk to the TV to change channels. She looked at me like I was speaking Mandarin.
I used to laugh at people who bought remotes, because they were too darned lazy to get up to change the channel or adjust the volume..... lol

Now, everyone has one [or 10] .... including me. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Tell her I had 3 channels, and only one really ever worked (over the air). Whatever was playing wheel of fortune was the channel, lol.
I didn't even bother telling her what is was like walking across two inch shag carpet.

That drama gets played out daily with my daughter's family.
