Who has had the best luck hiring a website developer through what site?

elance? something else?

Just need a clean landing page.

Cheap is good.

WordPress already installed and know exactly what we want....

Is the rest of your site already set, or are you basically looking for a theme that fits what you want and someone familiar with it to do some customization?

have a site that has a WP install which is JUST a splash page with links to their 2 or 3 subsites. These sub-sites are fully built and do not require attention. But the splash page needs a bit of work.

This is super simple really - just a beautiful landing page with 2 or 3 calls to action.

Just need a nice design and I have exactly zero time these days.

Unfortunately your timing kind of sucks for asking - if you'd asked a month ago I would have steered you to WordCamp Vancouver, but it was 3 weeks ago.

For anyone doing stuff with WordPress, it's well worth looking into whether there's a WordCamp in your area.

We do a lot on upwork.com - It's easy to find a lot of bad people there, but also some really great ones.. You need to be able to interview them for it to work well, but there are tons of ppl there
