I've just started a Laptop Repair Company directory (UK only). It's currently empty and needs filling - first 5 submissions get a spot in the front page and you can put your own logo in size is 698x255

I managed to get hold of the exact match domain for laptop repair so google will like any links fro this site it is hoped :)

Also i'd like some comments on the site if your having any issues submitting a link.

Bit of a shameless bump here but the "submit listing" button is now working.

It prevoiusly was not, you had to register first, however I had registering disabled, doh! thanks for telling me guys :)

looking like the start of a great website.
I will be adding my submission in the morning, all being well. Many thanks for doing this :)

as a side note, on the main page, under Trusted Laptop Repair UK allow laptop repair companies to list thier company and website details for free. In return we do some background checks on these said companies to make sure they are not ripping off thier customers

thier should be spelt their.

Spelling corrected, i'm bad!

4YCR your on the front page :) (4 spaces left for front page)

Mobile Tech - just click the submit listinng button not the my account button - also try clearing cookies :)

It is nice web site but There are milions web sites with same offer so do you have any plan in the future to offer anything unusual or is it gonna be same as every other directory kind of web site out there?. Good luck with the new site and design is lovely.

Yes I agree there are lots of directories out there however mine has an exact match domain name for "laptop repair" this will benefit any companies trying to get higher in Google that have a link in my directory.

There is no one that recommends local UK laptop repair companies. Freeindex & computerrepaircompanies.co.uk are just after the Google ads and work on volume they don’t identify local laptop repair companies for UK internet users – something that is lacking apart from Google places.

There will be featured articles and videos with tips and tricks on laptop repair - a lot of the web directories are just really link farms where as my directory will be of value to visitors and companies listed on it.

Maybe I should ask, what would you like to see from such a website? Would anyone on here be able to contribute to it?

My english is limited but i hope this would be easy to Exlpane. Soon as i read your question first thing comes in my mind was combining something like Technibble.com + Yell.com + Youtube.com (PC Related only) and no Google ads but monthly membership = it is not my idea but my imagination i would say. i know it is not easy and requires great deal of effort, money, man power and preperation but i am sure no one ever done anything like it before. if we have to go in to details there is a lot to brain strom about this but language is big limitation for me.

Your domain is a very good start but comparing the keyword based domain like laptoprepair.co.uk would have the real power of SEO Weight againts symbol aded domains like laptop_repair.co.uk or laptop-repair.com ect. but i have to admit you would get bit of weight for that. finaly domain name only one of the ranking factor out of over 400. Looking at the sourse of your web site i can see that you havent complete your onsite seo %100 yet but i am sure you would soon. if you ever need help with off page SEO please contact me, I think i can help you. if you dont mind i would like to check and let you know if there is anything big or small missing with the keyword base laptop repair

Runing one of my SEO scan software this is what it came up with maybe you like to know;

there are few web pages that link to your web site, you must concantrade on link building and make sure some or most of them use the search term "laptop repair" in their link texts.

Missing H1 headline texts and most SEO master recomend this.

Try to get some web links to your web page on HPR social networks.

Laptop repair, Laptop or Repair keyword density is too high on IMG ALT

On your same domain link text. you should increase the keyword density for the search term "laptop" and "repair" but not a lot maybe one more.

You shold have some outbound links with the keywords "laptop repair", "Laptop" and "repair" included8- I know Google dont use meta description but latest research shows that there is advantage of having them also it is still important fact for other search engines like Yahoo. It vont hurt to have keyword rich description.

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.laptop-repair.org.uk/ Shows 25 errors. again i you can keep it as it is but if you can correct some of them maybe it would be good.

You can work on the Flesch Reading Ease Score of your web page. it is wery good but needs bit more improvment

Again i know Google dont use meta keywords but latest research shows that there is advantage of having them also it is still important fact for other search engines like Yahoo. It wont hurt to have meta keywords

I know you have "laptop" and "repair" but you can also add keyword "laptop repair" HTML Comment. it is not very heavy but still has its weight on search engines.

DMOZ, Yahoo dir and BOWD my favorite directories to be listed but i can not see you on any of them yet. are you working on it?

dominexsus thanks for the tips however I'm not too interested in onsite SEO -as it's a driectory with reciprocal links the offsite SEO will take care of itself.

Any onsite SEO wil be in the form of the arciles I hope to publis :)

I think you need both onsite SEO as well as your reciprocal links if you wanna do it properly imho

you website is being flagged up by McAfee as containing potential security risks btw

hope you don't mind me asking but what background checks do you do on the laptop repair companies in your directory?

again, hope you don't mind me asking but are you gonna be putting Adsense ads on your site in the future?

I agrre with your point but this is only one downside of the picture. if offpage seo enough why there are milion companies out there offering onpage seo? i am not going to details but i never seen any competitive web site without complete onpage seo.

I only tried to help you by analysing your site so maybe you get something out of it but i can see that you have a superiror knowlidge about SEO.You even figured out some thing no one knew that on page seo is not nececary if you do off page seo.

I thought this is all wrong. my days people use to say instead of having 1000 Non PR sites we better have a Good seo with few High PR Sites linked to my site end if i didnt understand you so good at seo, i would say how can you say as it's a driectory with reciprocal links the offsite SEO will take care of itself? is this a joke? web sites going to submit your dirctory will probably new sites who have no PR or popilarity but never mind it is a good site and i hope you make a sucses.

Well of the sites that have submitted to my directory

1 has a domain age of 9 years
1 has over 200 backlinks to their site
1 is listed in DMOZ

At the moment there are only 5 sites listed - so I would say this is a pretty good start to off page SEO

When a laptop repair company sees my logo on their competitors site I'm hoping they'll be interested in getting listed to.

Obviously UK Techinibble members have an advantage here as there getting first shot at the front page & top listings in their area before I launch my adwords campaign to the site.

Thanks for the comments and analysis it's much appreciated dominexsus.

maybe it's just me but why do you only have 5 companies signed up after it first being mentioned on TN 3 weeks ago, and after 368 views

also, just how are you gonna fund these background checks?

it's early and I'm probably missing something, but while it all seems like a good idea, I'm a little suspicious :)
