can't do it with chrome either. have to install an extension. pain in the posterior...With the new tab button I haven't seen a way to set it to open to a web page like Google.
With the new tab button I haven't seen a way to set it to open to a web page like Google... However, you can modify and edit the "Top Sites" it shows at the top.
You can pin websites there so they always show. It would take an extra click, but you can always easily get to Google in a new tab.

Probably realized their patron overlord Yahoo wasn't a reliable long term sugar daddy and they couldn't just rest on their laurels while the world passed them by.My question is why the f-ck it took them so long ? Firefox has been a dog for a long time, what made them wake up and try to improve it ?
