Firefox's new update?

With the new tab button I haven't seen a way to set it to open to a web page like Google... However, you can modify and edit the "Top Sites" it shows at the top.

You can pin websites there so they always show. It would take an extra click, but you can always easily get to Google in a new tab.

The inability to set Google as my new tab homepage was really bugging me, but then I found the "New Tab Override" extension that has done a good job of returning control to the user: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Thank You! I turned off all the New Tab features after glancing at them but never realized I could edit the Top Picks.

My question is why the f-ck it took them so long ? Firefox has been a dog for a long time, what made them wake up and try to improve it ?

This!

I love Firefox but I was going restless and slowing transitioning over to Chrome until this latest update.
