Firefox 3.5 and Virtualbox 3.0 are out

Just upgraded to FF 3.5. WoWoW it's fast..... So far everything works as it should except the updated Firbug extension. A couple of other non-critical extensions are not compatible and have no updates.

I'm bout to update it later this arvo.

It's good to know that the speeds have increased. Is it dramatic ? Or just an increase...

What about memory usage ? Have there been a change in that ?

Its me or firefox is having kind of troubles when handling flash applications, like a memory leak or something. Firefox with 3 o 4 tabs open, and is taking like 49% of my CPU a AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.3ghz with 7gb ram and vista home premium 64bit

Slower?

LOL, Doubt it, I scan it Weekly with Avast, Malwarebyte and I do not look for the Olsen twins naked. haha

If you find out, please let me know! I just tried it and it's slower on my XP, plus it hits 100% CPU when doing a search or changing threads...

It did the same thing before, I just hoped it would be a little faster.

Me thinks there's a hidden bottle neck some where.... If I don't find it soon, back to 3.

Maybe another google in a day or so will turn up something.

Plugins?

disable all of your plugins and see if that helps.

A lot of FF issues are with plugins.

How do I find out? as I didn't think I had any. At least I didn't add any. No bars, no add on's...

No Bit turrents, favorite places, Itunes... nothing that I know of....

But free can be so sneaky..... ;-)

Well, the default FF install has no plugins/addons so unless you added them, then I doubt they are there. you can see if any are installed by going to Tools and selecting Add Ons
