I had a client who had Verizon FIOS and the router fed a switch that distributed through the office and they had Meraki 3 APs for 3 floors. No issues. They moved out and I pulled their networking equipment and sent it to their home office.

Fast forward a few weeks, the new tenant asked me to help them out with crappy wifi. (they dont need wired access yet)

Verizon came out for the new tenant and setup 3 Verizon routers (one on each floor, two of the new tower style and one of the older blade looking one). As far as I can tell they are 3 separate routers with different static IPs broadcasting the same SSID and password for all three.

In the coming weeks they are getting VOIP phones and will need the wiring in the wall lit up.

My thought was to connect a new switch to one router and set it up similar as it was before.

I wanted to check to make sure I wasnt overlooking something as to why Verizon would use 3 routers seemingly disconnected to each other before I went further.

Check to see if the new client ordered it set up that way. Three different modems mean three different IP addresses and ISP's don't do that for free.

Show them how the setup was prior to them taking over space and try to upsell them to the correct setup.
