I'm trying to clear off over 500GB of data stored on a web server over a few years and thought I would use my favorite program, WinSCP as it is secure and resumes broken downloads. Well after about 20+ attempts to download 20GB folders, each session was broken at least 5-6 times and I could never get a complete download. So I got tired of WinSCP and thought I would give FileZilla a shot.
Let me tell you, in the last 5 years this program has come a LONG way in stability and speed. It has always been good but I have to say that I really love it now.
I copied over all the folders downloaded with WinSCP and found that about 5% of the files had been missed somehow. The prompting to "overwrite, skip, write if newer, etc" is VERY in depth and covers any aspect that you could need. It also seems to be much faster in downloading than WinSCP, maybe because of the multi-threading aspect.
Just thought I would share this for people who use file transfer programs.
