Does FAB's replace folders like Documents, Pictures and Favorites or does it add to the existing folders? Example is that I have a customer that wants to combine the information on several machines into one. If I used FAB's on one machine would it overwrite the current folders of Documents, Pictures, etc. on the other or does it just add to what is there? I'll include a shout-out to @fabs as he is in the best position to answer.

If it does happen to overwrite, you can just do a typical copy and paste using a USB drive.

If there are duplicate folders, you're asked if you want to merge, and if there are duplicate files, you get the standard options about how those are to be handled.

I have to deal with this all the time with my partner and his music collection when he forgets to "clean out" the MP3 files that have already been processed with MP3Gain and rips a whole bunch more and processes it. I just answer merge for folders and in the case of duplicates, skip.

It will add unless it is the same file name. Just as if you manually copied and pasted.
It can be adjusted see the screenshot.

Got it! Thx

I'm wondering how bookmarks and favorites are handled since they are a file to themselves (I think...). Can they just be added to?

Any program that copies....if the path is the same for the folders, such as C:\Users\Diggs\Documents....it just adds the content. %USERNAME%\Documents
So if you had 25 files in the prior destination folder, and you copied the Documents over from the other computer..and it had 10 files...you'd now have 35 files in the destination folder.
Favorites is just another folder under %username%

And are they even using Favorites?

Unless they've been using IE well past its expiration date, or relying on Favorites created long ago, there shouldn't be any.

What they're called, and how they're stored, are two entirely different things.

New Chromium-based edge wasn't using the old Favorites folder when I last checked. Also, Microsoft did themselves no favors by not adopting the near universal Bookmarks terminology used in the Chromium world for this now, as there has been a break in how they're stored. You can import your favorites from IE favorites, but you're not adding to the Favorites file when you add new ones anymore. Just tried adding a Favorite using new Edge and it's definitely not doing anything to my Favorites folder.

It will overwrite files if they already exist. Other files will just be added. About favorites/bookmarks, since they're now stored in a single file (except IE for sure), they'll get overwritten

Favorites/Bookmarks would have to be exported (.html format) from each browser on each machine and then separately imported to the final destination. Requires a working source installation, or a long-winded transfer of browser profiles to an intermediate machine.
