For some strange reason on customers machine explorer crashes during zip extract/copy only does it in safe mode as well .
Virus/spyware none found no 7zip ,winrar or other shell extensions out of the ordinary, ran CCleaner clean/registry repair.
Any ideas since it does this in safe mode kinds of rules out 3rd party software conflicts.
Also did SFC/CHKDSK found nothing.

Have you tried multiple zip files or the just one?
If just one, the file may be corrupt.
tried multiple zip files and crashes on file copy/paste ect.
Looked closer at shell extensions there was acer copy paste protection crap removed it using shexview and that fixed it must have missed it i wish there was a hide all microsoft option.

Anything in windows error logs?
Just had copy/paste crash with an Acer notebook and My WinLocker running.

You can only unzip a porn file so big ya know?

Anyway, sounds like a ntdll.dll issue to me. Does the machine have Google Drive installed? If so, uninstall it and the issue should go away.

You can run an sfc /scannow form an administrator command prompt, or remove any 3rd party software installed that might hook in to explorer, any addons installed etc.
