Edge memory usage

Has anyone else seen extreme usages of memory from Microsoft Edge? I have a client with a brand new desktop with Win 10 that has Edge sucking up all his memory. I just killed a single process that was taking up 4.5GB itself. The websites he is visiting are nothing weird, Comcast E-mail and Facebook.

I recommended he try Firefox or Chrome, but I'm curious if this is a known issue or what's going on.

Win10Pro
16 gigs of RAM, i5 CPU
Chrome browser, 1 tab, on Technibble...126.4 MB
Microsoft Edge, 1 tab, on Technibble, 20.3 MB

I don't use Edge much at all...but just doing a quick comparison. Will try to use for a whole day and see what it's like after a while.

Edge is literally bare bones right now. No extension support at all. I'd be more curious to see the comparison once they open up extension support. Sorry wish I could tell you whether or not it was taking up system resource but I continue to use IE11 since I can use my add-ons lol.

Every person I know who has used Edge has asked me how to get IE back (I actually prefer IE over FF or Chrome). It's almost unusable, even with the changes made in the just released Fall Update.

BTW, do not think that the new release of W10 is an "update". It's an "UPGRADE".

Turns out it's not Edge. Both Chrome and Firefox exhibit the same behavior. Very strange, gonna have to dig deeper into this.
