Is there a good free dvd ripping software out there? If not, which is actually worth purchasing for a decent price?

Any idea which is the fastest? I've decided to finally backup my entire collection of DVD's and this is going to take an extremely long time. I don't want to lose the quality of course, but if it's all good quality AND quick that would be perfect.

Depends on what format you want them. If you just want to "back them up" then DVDShrink is probably the fastest. You could play them back using Daemon tools or something like that.
If you want them encoded in a video format, bitripper's easy, but I know it's not the fastest.
