do you use vistaprint

I use overnightprints.com, awesome service. For thing I need to send out to a lot of people, I make a quick postcard in Photoshop and get them pretty quickly. I use them for my business cards, mini business cards, posters, etc. Very good prices.

Vistaprint

Welcome Ben.

VistaPrint, in the UK anyway, produce very poor quality business cards - you'd be better of making some yourself using tissues/toilet paper and a ballpoint pen! Flimsy card and poor quality finish.

Think it's worth investing a bit more on quality cards.

Have used Goodprint for the last 3 years - quality has been great. The last batch were not quite up to the same standards but still light-years ahead of VistaPrint.

Good luck and best wishes.

Andrew

I'm a firm believer in using other local businesses when I can. Business cards are a product I've always gotten from local print houses. I'm in small business, I like to utilize the services of other local small business people...and I hope for the return.

i have used vista print and other online areas but like others here the local small business tends to do a better job. Not the cheapest option but if your at the point where you dont mind the small extra cost i say go look at some local print shops.

Just started using them. Very happy with their service & its great being able to get clothing with my business name & a logo so cheaply. Their specials are great too.

They seemed great to me at first too. I really don't have anything against them other than the fact that when I tried to re-order cards the price went up substantially. They do good work from what I have seen though.

Vistaprint is... okay...

Hi technibble my first post please be kind

I am thinking about having some business cards made for the first time.
I have read some review about vistaprint and some are good but alot are bad. just wondering if anyone has used them before.

VistaPrint has been around for a long time in dog years, as well as Internet years.

I've used them before on a few occasions, had business cards printed up when they were one of the earliest online providers to offer a web based design application.

They '*sort of* muffed up my initial order (It didn't arrive when it was supposed to), so when I called them (and offshore number), although they were hard to reach they did ship me out the same order overnight to make up for it, both packages arrived within a day of each other, although a 'two-fer' wasn't expected.

About a year ago I wanted to do a reorder of that earlier design and logged in after several years and found that only part of my design was still there (all the graphics were gone).

I got mad when they said it was gone and tried to woo me... so I bolted.

I did a little searching around and have been very happy with 123print.com

From here in California, they're local, they answer the phone, they're friendly, and my orders arrive in about 1 or two days from the time I hit submit.

I've been very pleased with 123print.com - very pleased :)

Kindest regards,

.

I actually just had an issue with them today... that was resolved beyond expectation. I would say that I am now a very loyal customer to Vistaprint.

Here is what I just posted on Facebook actually:

Okay, so, I have to post this.

Vistaprint is absolutely AMAZING.

I placed an order of 5000 business cards, something that is a bit costly. Now, a few days later, I got an email that they were shipped, so I went over to the site and checked it out.... And the cards were slightly messed up. The backside, while useable, were not what I ordered.

I was ******. This cost a lot of money, and I can't afford to reorder them.

So I called up customer service, thinking I would get some kind of credit or something to my account to make up for the mistake. At least I could get something back.

But No... I actually just got a second order of 5000 business for free and some great discounts to go with it. Also, I was told to go ahead and keep the first order as an apology for the mistake. So, in all, I got 10,000 business cards, 5,000 of them exactly as I wanted, 5,000 usable, but not as I wanted.

Called a very dissatisfied customer, planning on turning to another business for future orders. Left a very satisfied customer, that will always turn to them first.

Vistaprint services? OUTSTANDING

I would recommend their service to anyone.

As to the comments about card quality... the quality of my first order was very good, hopefully the second is as well. And there are options for better paper, gloss, etc.

I used both Vista Print and GotPrint. They both offer low and high quality paper. If your not sure give them a call and they will explain the difference.

For Business card and Brochure, I used glossy high quality. For door hanger, glossy medium quality and low quality for mailer. It works for me.

I had a similar experience, they went way beyond what any other business I have worked with has ever done and turned me into a loyal customer. I recommend them

Fan of OvernightPrints.com

Just my 2 cents.... I used Vista Prints for my first business cards. I liked them, but over time, with lots of networking, I realized the first impression that the cheap card stock has. You can literally feel a Vistaprint card when it is handed to you, and it doesn't give a great impression.

A colleague handed me an OvernightPrints card. It felt like a playing card from a new deck. It had rounded corners which also made a great impression (stood out). I've used them ever since, and have always been pleased with the results.

Don't forget to use both sides of your card. Advertise, list your services, or do what I did and list computer tips and shortcuts (clients keep the card by their monitors for ease of access to the shortcuts).

Good luck!

I use Vistaprint and have had no problems with their service or quality control. Admittedly, I have never looked anywhere else and haven't shopped around. But, I've been very happy with the products that I've received and it's good to know that others have received very good customer service when they've had issues.

Here are a few tips and tricks that I've found for maximizing your usefulness of Vistaprint:

First of all, the emails that they send out are total crap. About 90% are the exact same deal with a slightly different spin on the marketing. They offer the same 250 free business cards, a free small car magnet, etc. in every mailing. If you go with one of these freebies, you are forced to get the lowest quality version of the item and you cannot add your own logo/image to it. Don't bother with this.

Second, you will get charged for using an uploaded image the first time it's used, but it gets saved to your account and you can reuse it (free of charge) from then on out. So, just upload your logo once and then use their images, text and design app stuff to customize your image from then on out. It saves you money rather than developing the whole business card using other software and then uploading that entire image. If you want to order something else (door magnets, pens, etc.), you can't really reuse a single, business card image like you could just a logo.

Third, always Google "vistaprint discount codes" before purchasing. While the emails they send are total crap, there are lots of other discounts out there that can save you a ton of money. For instance, I recently ordered a total of 1000 business cards, 4 large car magnets, 2 large banners, a medium banner, 2 banner stands, 25 pens, 10 bumper stickers and a small stamp for less than $250 (including shipping) because I went through Retailmenot.com. I did some creative quantity adjustments and item selections to maximize my savings of the "Buy more save more" discount which saves $5 off of $25, $15 off of $50 or $40 off of $100. I adjusted my quantities and items so that I would get as close to $100 w/o going under as possible to maximize the discounts.

Lastly, understand that Vistaprint isn't going to be the one "end-all-be-all" solution for all of your marketing/advertising needs. There are other, better solutions out there for certain things. For instance, I am in the process of ordering my first set of custom embroidered polos and other apparel. Rather than using the limited selection on Vistaprint, I opted to go through LogoUp.com instead. Feel free to "experiment" with the items that Vistaprint has to offer, but I wouldn't suggest buying a large quantity of something without first purchasing a small sample of it to make sure that it is what you are expecting. It's the concept of "try before you buy". Your mileage may vary.

I used to use vistaprint. But, wasn't too happy with their quality. Now I use nextdayflyers, The quality is the best imo. full color, double sided, UV gloss, and they do rounded corners, which to me is a plus, as I have gotten tired of the traditional square corners.

On bytes recommendation, I just made an order through nextdayflyers. They are pretty darn inexpensive. I ordered 1000 cards, and paid 56.00 with shipping. I like the different styles they offered too (square, rounded corners 4 sides, rounded corners 2 sides, etc.). Hopefully the quality of the stock is good. I'll let you all know next week when they arrive.

That's about what we charge... $52.99 shipped anywhere in the USA. That is for 4/4 full color and either 14 or 16pt paper, double or single UV coated or matte..... pretty good and great quality! When we finish the re-launch I'll post a link..... may have to see about buying adds on TN :)

I use Vistaprint for my business cards and my wife uses them for her business cards too. We've never had any issues with their service.

Yes, they try and upsell you at every stage of the ordering process, but nothing extra is added to your cart by default, so i can deal with it and just skip past the extra offers.

I gave a local printing company a try just one time and while the quality was equally good, it took the local company longer to get my cards done, and i had to go pick them up.

I give Vistaprint a thumbs up just for convenience alone.

Simon.

Just wanted to follow my earlier post up about nextdayflyers.com. I ordered 1,000 business cards, I got the rounded corners option, glossy etc. They arrived two days ago, and they are very very nice. The card stock is heavy, and the gloss is brilliant. I got full color, both sides, glossy on both sides, rounded corners, and I paid about $53.00 or so including shipping. Just thought some of you might like to know the quality they offer.
