do you use vistaprint

#I used Vista print when I first started and the extras do add up. I have now started to use a local printer and found the quality much better and it was nicer to talk to someone about it.

Also I might be doing some work for them in the new year, bonus.

You cannot go wrong with a local printer, saves a lot of issues and yes I'm like you I prefere a face to face consult on some things.

Yes what a bonus. You scratch theirs and they scratch yours.

I used uPrinting. Great customer service and prices.

Ordered 1500 cards, 10 cards had a small printing defect, they reprinted the whole order for free, and over nighted the cards for free as well.

So far Visatprint has been good. No issues, no problems. I ordered business cards, flyers, and handouts from them and they are good quality to me. I agree with adam_chevyss with their discounts/coupons which I'm always receiving in email. I utilize them for my business to save a few dollars.

Did they just get the color wrong from what was online when you produced the cards?
The top image is what the cards looked like when I composed the card on their site, but the bottom image is what they looked like when I received them. When they reprinted them, they were the correct colour.

I used them originally and then like everything else they shot up in price. Comparing the two, they to me are equal in quality in my business cards.

I used Vistaprint for my first order of business cards. Yes they will hit you up for lots of extras at the end of the order. I ended up buying a car magnet too. Not by accident, just wanted to get one and found out they made them too.

The shipping was a bit of a hassle though. I ordered priority which is 7 days. They sent me a UPS tracking number and said it would ship ups. When I see UPS I assumed it would be UPS ground. It was UPS basic. Which means UPS will ship it to your local post office and the post office will deliver it to you.

After I called them to complain about the shipment going basic, they gave me a $5.00 credit. Then I was actually at my full time job near the mailbox when the postman arrived. It didn't deliver. Turns out, Vistaprint's shipping department has an issue with the UPS label machine. It prints too far to the left and cut off several letters and numbers of the name and address. So I ended up driving down to the post office and getting it.

The quality of the cards and magnet were great. Next order will be with some local guys to give them a try.

I love Vistaprint and have used them a lot, but their quality control seems to have come down on some things. Like pens--I wouldn't bother with those. More than half the ones I ordered fell apart or stopped working after a week or two, and the printing job on them was none too great either.

I don't think they have hidden costs.

I find they do have hidden costs (at least the Australian version does anyway).

I received a flyer in the post today and went thats sounds good (ie 100 postcards for $2, a coffee mug for $2 etc). The flyer stated that I could use exisiting designs or add my own.

So went through the ordering process for the flyer and it ended up being way over the $2. I looked further and discovered that I had picked 50 flyers instead of 100 and they charge more because I added my own design!

I then tried the coffee mug and again it charged me more as I uploaded a logo!

I ordered a $2 pen a few years ago to try them out and the pen was crap. The "printed" details all came off with a few uses!
