I have tried numerous fixes and just cannot get this resolved.
This is actually my son's Dell Studio 1555 that "stopped working" and needed some virus cleaning and windows7 updates, the usual stuff but nothing extraordinary. The battery was also end-of-life.
The unusual thing though is that during the process of fixing this I found that the keyboard would intermittently not work. Rebooting or removing the power and draining the flea power would usually help it.
Now that it has a new battery, fully charged, the Dell splash screen stalls at a full bar and will not boot, the keyboard will not work to go to the boot choices or the bios setup, or F8. If I wait 10 minutes at the boot screen and then unplug, no battery and reboot I get to the boot error screen, without no keyboard working and let it countdown and boot to normal.
I have looked at every article I could Google without success.
Any thoughts?
