I was just wondering, how many of you ask for feedback from your customers?

I've only recently started asking for customer feedback, so I can place it on my website. Does anyone else do this and does it increase the amount of work you get?

I made a simple email form on my site and put a note on the invoice saying "If you have any comments or suggestions regarding our services, please visit: <website link>". This way it doesn't cost them anything and they can leave feedback in their own time. If I point it out to the customer aswell, they're usually more than happy to leave feedback.

We do this with a survey. Its an automated email that goes out a few days after a job is completed. It links up to a web based survey that they can take. Its only 10 questions and very simple to fill out. It gives us a database to look at and see how well we are doing and how good our guys are doing individually.

May I ask what questions you ask your customers? Do you then put this feedback onto your website for other potential customers to see?

We are starting to do this now. We had a client, who's husband is a Soldier in Iraq, and we helped him setup a web cam via our remote support. That's gonna look nice on the site. :)

Website and Customer Comments

Sounds like a good idea getting customer feedback. I do have a question though. I am currently designing my website now and would like to know how many of you used templates or did you design your own? I am using a template now, but still wanted to have my own personality spin on my site. Please give me some feedback. Thank you all very much :p

I designed my own website however it did take a while! The most time consuming part for me was thinking of the content for each page, rather than the design.

If you can find a good looking template, then I say go for it and save yourself some time and effort.

Are you using a template which can be easily modified or, for example, one which has been designed in photoshop?

Website Design

As a matter of fact I am using yahoo and they do have templates that are fairly easy to change. I would like to put my spin on it but my word I just don't have the time. I invested a while ago in Dreamweaver and FrontPage. I am, like you all, are trying to get my content together.

To heck with all of this startup headache, I just wanna buy a complete Franchise package from greggh. Seems like he is the one here with the most on the ball.

testimonials

We actually have a link right on our website for customer testimonials. After a service call you can leave the page on their screen and ask them to take a minute after you leave to fill it out in order to service them or anyone else better in the future. Then you can put them on your website or whatever you like.
