Customer ask's.."what AV should I run??"

We sell Panda, a good, solid AV with fewer issues than most.

Anything else to share? I am looking to switch to Panda from BitDefender due to my source of discounted licenses is gone. Also seems you don't HAVE to make an account :)

Where do you get the licenses from? Direct from them or through like antivirussales?

Most customers recognize Norton/McAfee because of branding, so it's a little bit of a sell, but I would recommend Kaspersky & ESET.

Do you sell BD for paid? If so is that hard for customers to wrap their brains around? That is pretty much why I don't resell paid Avira or Avast(they have nice margins though).

I dont resell but I offer this to go through - free you are limited of paid is more secure; 99% go for this

I don't know the exact details, but we get ours from our country's distributor (the upside being we get stellar support from the distributor when we can't solve an issue ourselves). I don't know much outside the local market here tbh.

I think for some/most countries Panda has it's own partner programme: Here's the info on their site for the UK: http://www.pandasecurity.com/uk/partners/ and for the US: http://www.pandasecurity.com/usa/partners/

Maybe worth contact them for details?

Yes, if they're interested in paid, I'm usually recommend BitDefender or Kaspersky. While those two often top AV Comparatives, they still don't seem to have a lot of household name recognition, unfortunately.

I'm always on a search for the best free AV that doesn't nag too much, or do other bothersome things. I recommended Avast for awhile, but sometimes there are too many popups. Avira is nice, too. Interestingly enough, Qihoo's Total Security I have recommended for some people. It's handy, because it uses multiple scan engines, and doesn't nag or use popups. BitDefender free seemed like it would be nice, but last time I used it, it would auto-quarantine some of my technician tools, and not provide a way to restore or whitelist them.

What I really want to see is a Microsoft Security Essentials with a respectable detection rate.

In the end, the AV selected will still sooner or later, fail the end user.

If the end user is interested in a paid for solution, ESET or Kaspersky gets highly recommended. If they don't want to pay for it, MS Security Essentials or if Windows 8/8.1/10, Windows Defender. I tend to push users to Google's Chrome, since it does a good job of keeping itself updated and handles Flash updates quicker then most end users.

Don't we all? lol I really do miss those days. I officially gave up on Avast. Although I like product, I don't recommend the free version anymore. Too many issues between the whole Windows 10 problems and the annoying ads even with disabling everything. If anything I am pushing people over now to my Managed Anti-virus with Emsisoft or Kapersky if anything.
