Credit Card Help!

I use paynet systems iPhone app and it works great. 10$/month for merchant account. .25 cents per transaction, I believe 2.19% or 2.29%,can't recall which.

Not Sure

Just getting started with CC, not sure what to go with and I think square up looks promising. They will increase the weekly limit when you show that you can be trusted. Anybody get a swipe for an android phone yet?

Will be getting a motorola Droid X soon.

FWIW, I've been using EVO (https://www.goevo.com) for 3 or 4 years, in conjunction with Authorize.net's VPOS interface. This gives us web-based cc processing (no actual terminal). We bought our own "wedge reader" online for around $60, so that in the shop, cards are actually swiped on the computer. For on-site appointments, we just log in to Authnet's VPOS interface, and key in the customer's credit card number. As long as they have a printer, we can also print a customer receipt, as well as a merchant receipt with a signature line. We got decent % rates and a low monthly fee, only $5 or $10/mo. (However, I think their may be a $20/mo minimum fee ... but we do enough volume that we always exceed that anyways, so it's irrelevant to us). We've been around the block with MANY different processors and this solution has worked the best for us.

Also, I must agree, stay away from Wells Fargo! Arrghh! They do nothing efficiently. I think they might still move their money around using covered wagons.

Just signed up for a free 30 Day Trail with Merchant Express, waiting for my account to be activated. If this doesn't work out, I am just going to go to my bank and get theres

I'm moving over to Wells Fargo to do all my business banking. I'm sick of having 4 different companies run my business. Next day payment! I haven't set it up yet, so I don't have their rates, but will post when I get them.

Right now, I use Paypal and run $1000's through it a month, never had a bad issue. I make all my clients now pay with credit card, I quit taking checks unless pre-approved by me. This is all done via my booking process.

I just looked into Wells Fargo's rates a month ago.... they were around 2.7% or so, plus a bunch of fees, annual fees, and a 3-year contract... I passed.

Trust me you will not last a year before you will be ranting about them to, lol.

lol...didn't even last two months. I am going to get a new local account with a smaller bank and close up all my dealings with Wells Fargo. I also intend on writing up a huge blog about my experiences there too. And pass along to everyone I can find.

I should have listened to you all here, but that's how it goes, live and learn.

How do you set up Google Checkout to work as a virtual terminal?

nice and easy method.

hidden website non-indexed by search engines on your hosting using an ecommerce solution. freebie one will do and doesnt need to look pretty aslong as supports google checkpoout and most have modules that do. (also worth cheching for ones that have mods that work with your preffered accounts software)

common fixed price items as products,
monerty products eg £0.01, £0.02, £0.5, £1, etc

then just login as clients and go through the checkout process.

we have actually found even though the website hidden some repeat clients pre-pay before even calling to book in. Added benefit using the ecommerce method lets you actually have nice statistical breakdowns to analize later.

I know above bit more work than probably needed but once setup correctly it nice and easy but definately worth it for the statistics alone.
