company name ideas

I have been hitting a brick wall in thinking of something..anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how they created thiers? thanks

I actually sat down and googled computer repair company name ideas and found a bunch of forums with similar posts. After reading through 10-15, I sat down and wrote out some ideas. It gave me some great ideas and I managed to come up with 10 possible names. After that, I ran them past a few close friends and family to get a variety of takes on it and poof... Repair-IT was born.

Are there any landmarks or anything well known in your area? With our city being on the river, several name ideas played off that.

I like the name but it dose not tell me anything? When thinking of a name I always try and get something that is easy to remember and makes people think of what I do. Beltech. Looks better like Beltech computer repairs or beltech malware removal. Maybe drop the word tech and have Bel computer repair's Bel computer service's. Just the word bel makes me think of computer brands. (or is that just me lol).

Also is the domain name available?

thats the thing beltech.com wasnt available but belteck is. And I thought something shorter would be better, I do see your point thou its not saying much. To be honest Im liking the way belteck sounds, if im gonna do bels computer repairs I might as well use my first name its just as short..Ian. hmmmm

Ya I know what your saying and understand it but to me Ian's computer repairs says one man band (small business) which is fine but if in the future you are looking for industry contracts bel's sounds more like a brand.
Again this is just my thoughts on it, and i totally agree that belteck sounds good

Whatever you choose should be something that inspires you. I chose my company name (Beyond Communications) several years before I registered it. I wanted to choose something that was "big", and something that would always dare me to live up to my ambition and desire to succeed. It should also be something marketable.

If you can't think of anything right now, don't worry. If you want to be "legit", then come up with something that works for now and just file as a DBA. The right name will come to you, likely out of knowhere and when you're not even expecting it.... something will just "click".

well I think that I like belteck alot and I wanna keep it short also. So Idk maybe Beltecks PC repair... how does that sound? Im also in the process of building a simple 1 page website too which ill post a screen shot of in a few days for input
