I have to reinstall a Windows 10 laptop because of an office problem that I can not fix what are the pros and cons of either clean install from disk
or an easier method to just do a reset
I will be doing it on site so a reset would be a lot easier.
I see on this site of people doing the clean install from disk but do no see many people doing reset

Seems kind of extreme for an office issue. What troubleshooting steps have you already undertaken? A reset or wipe is the most inconvenient for a customer and I avoid at all costs unless absolutely necessary.

I've never had to do an os re-install for an Office problem. Have you tried a new user? Have you tried wiping ALL office files and registry values from the computer using Revo or something and do a reinstall of the software first?

I've had great luck with a reset fixing windows 10 problems so I've give it a shot, obviously after backing up the machine.

Depends on the machine but most systems can install Windows 10 very fast. There is always a risk that a reset might not work and you will just waste time doing it only to have it not work.
