Cancelled card carrier still charging account

Wow i just checked on canda bank card they have a very bad reputation we canceled with them and found a better provider that does not nickle and dime us to death.
The only problem is the account is direct bank withdrawal and the national bank of canada has problems trying to stop them they will change the date making it impossible to stop payment , guess might have to take them to court.
 
We put a stop payment on the transaction after leaving 20 msgs on machine and 2 months gone by as soon as payment was stopped they gave us a call.
The problem with our old card carrier was there was 4 companies involved and that each one had to be contacted?.
1. for lease on equipment
2. for billing
3. for original company that we have contract with
4. for service on equipment
We spent months calling to try to get the new terminal with chip reader installed they flat out refused then changed their minds besides nickle and dimeing us to death on transactions.
The new company we have is a quarter of what the other was charging and when you call you get to talk to live person and not a machine.
I have had them for close to 20 years rates kept going up should have did some shopping around instead of taking the first one in the phone book.

I know it's a bitch but perhaps you can open a new account that has a different number and close this one. I realize you must have a ton of pre-authorized payments but if you plan ahead this might be an option.

They finally found the forms we sent in and now have canceled our account months after sending in our forms, they only contacted us after they didn't get their payment and refunding all payments since the cancellation.
I have a new card carrier they charge MUCH less per transaction on interact and have a lower rate on master card and visa.
Funny thing is it was a longtime customer of our that got us a better deal and much better customer service and terminal as well the terminal we have now is up to date old one was all black plastic, new one sort of looks like it was made by apple kind of slimline metal with a large lcd screen and much smaller footprint.
