Anyone else in one right now? Holy crap, no clue how much we are getting, but it's here in Minnesota. I guess expected 6"-12" today. Probably more, the Twin Cities has 12" already (so I have heard).

I have a trip up there planned that I absolutely have to be at by 4:00, the blizzard runs noon today through tomorrow afternoon!

UGH. I have a 4x4 truck, AAA and will go slow. It will take a very long time to get up there I think.

Just read we may get 16"-20"...

Anything can be discussed about here.

Sorry to disappoint, but if you want we can discuss the WOW patch 4.0.1 crisis in October that Blizzard could not keep up with on the support levels that caused many of their members to learn how to pull the needle out quickly. Next patch, Blizzard needs to offer a support hotline.

Thanks Nige. For the first time in many years, I am getting in my pajamas at 4:45 at night lol. I'll get good sleep and head up once the plows are out and the roads are good. No travel is recommended right now, hopefull better tomorrow.

Any photos of the snow? Haven't had a good storm yet this year on the east coast... I'm itching for snow.

I just had a laugh about this a little bit before I started reading messages on here.. I was reading our local paper online a bit a ago and the headline read
"Blizzard clobbers Midwest with 20 inches of snow."

The reason for the chuckle was last Saturday it started snowing and when it finally stopped on Tuesday. We had 53 inches of snow on the ground reported at our airport in Syracuse,NY.

By Wednesday our plows had everything cleared like it was no big deal..

We average 180+ inches a year and some places 30 miles to the north of us average 250+ inches a year..

:)

Last year we got a whopping 1/16th inch of snow, about four years ago we got over an inch!

Right now its 10:30pm and its 77degrees.

I miss living there! We bought our first home in Baldwinsville NY. So pretty in the winter. And yeah, I've said "we averaged 180+ inches a year when we lived in NY" sooo many times after we left NY and lived in OH and now in NC lol. Lake effect ftw! ;)

Blech. I've lived all over snow country. Move to NC and wake up this morning to 4-6 inches. Go away!

Aww!! Think of it this way, karma will hit me in the face when it freezes tonight and they actually cancel school tomorrow and I can't get my work finished because the boys will be home.

Ha! One good thing about the mountains, if you don't like the weather, all you have to do is wait a little while. It's now pushing fifty here, and snow is melting all over the place. Just breaks my heart (yeah, right).

Yeah, that was freaking nuts. They have filled up 3 flights to Detroit for the game tomorrow night, hopefully Minnesota can represent.

This isn't the worst I have seen here, we had 31" on Halloween in 1991. That was awesome! Then a few weeks later right around Thanksgiving we got another 18".

We got 16" and the Cities got 16" (My second location is 70 miles south). I drove up to the hotel today, took an extra 40 minutes, but it was mostly ice patches and wind, blowing, etc. No more snow, not many cars in the ditch.
