Best deal on Business cards?

overnight prints

I think the last place we got some that we needed quickly was overnight prints.com We got 5,000 for around $99 bucks which seemed pretty cheap.
They are double sided with spot UV on the logo'd parts of the cards. They seem like very sturdy stock also.
Can't tell by the picture but the spot UV works out pretty slick. The black is matte black but only the logo parts have a 'shiny' coating to them. Looks cool in person.

... local

Didn't mean to suggest you seek an online alternative. We believe in keeping things local also. Actually we support a few local printers lol. But one of them recommended online pints as they were backed up and couldn't get them in time for us for anywhere remotely close to that price. So there were definitely no hard feelings as they recommended them.

I just received my business cards from gotprint.com and I am blown away at the quality of these cards. I got the front with gloss UV coated.....These are the best quality cards I have ever seen and they were only $18.30 + 12.98 for 2 day shipping.

I also got a sample print kit from them which showed a lot of their quality work!

I tried to buy local but the 1000 business cards that were not even to the quality of these and they were $100.

Wow! Some people get cards printed for really cheap. I ordered 1000 cards from Vistaprint for $60. They are not the greatest quality, but not bad for a first batch.

+1 for vista print, I got 500 for $7 on some special deal. But they turned out real nice. If you want to pay their prices, I recommend it.

edit:

Look what I found.

Good job Disposasble Me. I did not know that their prices could be reduced so much. I used a 50% off coupon, but got slammed on the shipping charges.

I won't mention the price I'm about to pay for 1000 business cards because it's insane! I designed them myself to be very minimal. Super thick, black museum mounting board. Printed both sides with a stamped hot foil impression. White ink doesn't work for a thick paper/board for some reason, so the foil is necessary. Just the die alone is maybe more then the cost of 1000 standard cards. I'm in the process of converting to an LLC, so my cards are on hold until I get the name worked out. Most of you are probably saying, "What an idiot". Well, for my current situation, this seems to be the best form of advertising for me. I'm currently a one-man shop, most of my clients are in very upscale gated community's, and all retired. They play golf, bridge in the club houses, and tennis, and always throwing party's. The wives are always talking about computer issues at bridge games, and that's where I get most of my referrals from. So having a really kick ass business card for them to pass around is the best for me.....for now. I'm having them printed by Zida Borcich, at studio-z.com, her studio is in California. I haven't spent any money on advertising in 7 years, and all the clients I get are WOM, and for one person, I'm quite busy. So for my situation, one-man mobile shop, working out of the trunk of a Lexus LS430, I feel this will work out the best. These cards are so durable, I could probably drill a hole in them and they could put them on their key rings along with their club pass, pool pass, gym pass....."swingers club pass"........not kidding....
