Hi,

A client bought this replacement battery for her Lenovo G40. First time charging worked but on the second time, charging only showed 0%.
I've tried uninstalling the battery driver and did the freezing trick to no avail.

Any idea how to revive this battery?

I can't count the amount of "$12 - $30 eBay special" laptop batteries I've replaced.
Some last 3 months, others less than a day.

Cheap Chinese crap. I would bet that most of then use old cells and are not even the true capacity they are labelled with.

If you can find a place that sells refurbished batteries, those are decent as they replace the cells but the original OEK circuitry is left, which is often of higher quality than cheap knock offs.

Which Emsisoft shows as containing RelevantKnowledge adware.
Try the "lite" installer or portable
Why would I trust the "lite" installer or portable after this?
Surely, after having links to Amazon in RAMExpert, "adware" in BATExpert and who knows what else in your other offerings, all confidence and trust in you has, for me, now evaporated.

Check with a know good charger.
If that doesn't work, replace the battery.

Yeah don't trust ebay/amazon batteries. The prices are cheap sure, but I know there was a story on the news here recently where one from amazon caught fire.

The only batteries I buy from Amazon are Anker Brand.
I've bought quite a few and only had to replace one under warranty with no hassels.
This was after it was used about 15 months.
