All over the world people are talking about the avast antivirus program reporting many popular programs as a trojan. Programs such as spybot, cobian backup, and others. It has to be a false positive. More in a bit.

*** UPDATE *** this may have some repair fall-out. All over the net people are talking about how they deleted and uninstalled all kinds of software on their pc's. Just google win32 Delf-mzg.

In the avast forum there is a red banner saying:

Code:
Win32:Delf-MZG false positive was fixed in the latest VPS - 091203-1.

Zrubecky emailed me about the same moment, he said their analysts have already fixed it in the current virus update. Thanks Z

I also read somewhere about one of Avast's latest definition updates that it flagged all python-based executables as trojans..

This is the reason I switched from AVG a few years ago, when it flagged a few of my system32 files as trojans. Nothin' a sfc /scannow didn't fix though ..
