AV Security Suite removal

Just curious as this was a corporate/business laptop, how come the internal IT dept of the business that he works for didn't clean it off for him?

Only thing I can think of, is he doesnt want them knowing what sites hes been visiting. As this is a kinda regular occurance.

When the laptop is due to go into their IT dept, he always brings it round for me to 'clean' it, ie history, cookies, recycle bin etc.
