Hi Guys, I've recently got a very new asus laptop in that is taking 20 minutes to boot. It sits there on a black screen waiting for the asus post screen to show. After it posts it sits on screen a while longer. What do you think is going on here? I've already tested Ram, HDD, Ect.

Usually ends up being a boot device. Try removing all USB devices, HDD and Cdrom and see if that helps. If that doesn't do it, swap for known good ram (just one stick) and see if it goes better. Then if that fails swap ram slot and try. If it still hangs after that it's probably the motherboard.

Yea, I pulled every boot device right down to nothing but the board and ram. Still hangs and doesn't post. It's crazy, the thing is only a year old. I also swapped down to 1 known good stick of ram.

Well, we will see if I can get it going. I ran in to something like this a while back with an acer. Ended up having to make a usb key with a bios flash file and using some hot keys to boot it in to a crisis mode.

Thanks for the help!

Pulled the board completely and found a small Msata ssd on the bottom. Removed it and it booted. I think we've found the issue. Thanks guys!
