To me, Google Maps is more...tradtiional, straight up navigation. Waze is more...hard to say, but has that social media twist to it that I find too "for kids" like. And advertising. I don't need it to tell me my speed or warn about going too fast...I have a speedometer right on my cars dashboard for that. For construction and traffic jams...I find Google Maps is more than accurate enough. Heck it leverages location services in "all" the cell phones stuck in traffic jams, I don't need to rely on potentially inaccurate or overhyped or opinionated input from member users like Waze.
I'm not aware of any features Waze has that I want or miss or feel Google Maps is lacking.
I'm not sure if Waze has a feature Google Maps has...since I use Chrome pretty much all the time on my computers, and have it signed into Google, as is my Pixel Android phone, I can plot a course on my computer at home or in the office, and when I get to my truck..pull up Google Maps on my phone and my plot I just did on my computer is there.
Unsure how long they'll be separate services/apps anyways, since Google bought up Waze a few years ago.
