Anyone use a VOIP service?

Howdy y'all

Been looking at a voip service so that all business calls go to a dedicated line - without needing a new phone line!

Also means I can keep the same number easily no matter where I go. Also looking for useful features like answer phone, answer phone to text/email. Forward to my mobile after x amount of rings and perhaps even able to call via that number via my mobile

Maybe any other useful stuff too. I've looked at vonage.co.uk and it seems to be good on paper, costs can rack up once you get addons and stuff. Looking for a UK supplier - maybe a local number would be nice for customers

I already had a separate phone line for my business from BT but I transferred over to Voip using Voipfone.co.uk. I have 4 local phone numbers that I use in related adverts in the local area advertising. So I have an 01525, 01908, 01582 and 01296. It works really well. Whatever number they phone my office phone rings and that trips top my mobile if I don't answer. They also have a facility for you to block calls and put them in a never answered queue. I've used that many times with such companies as Yell

The PAP2 effectively allows you to convert regular POTS phones into IP phones. It supports 2 accounts, and therefore 2 lines. Once configured, the lines behave like standard phone lines, so you can connect any type of phone (whether corded or cordless) or fax.

Another VOIPfone user here. Got my system set up real nice after trying various options for forwarding unanswered calls etc.
I use their voicemail service too which is free.

Another +1 for Voipfone. Transferred my home phone to them. Use my normal BT DECT handsets via a Cisco SPA122 VoIP Gateway.

I use BroadSoft setup via a friends company.

Voicemail to email is great, I have multiple numbers on the one phone and can block unwanted numbers easily enough also.

Anohter vote for VoipFone, Althought not my main supplier I do use it when I do consulting work for another firm.

You can get 01 and national and lo-call numbers for free!

I use a Ploygom IP phone in the office and I have set up Zoiper as my soft phone on Android.

Had no issues been with them 4 years now.

I use callcentric SIP services paired with PAP2 device mentioned earlier. They have call routing, voicemail, and fax services amongst many other features. Currently my desk phone and cell phone ring simultaneously. Eventually I will upgrade to 3cx phone system and continue to use callcentric for the sip provider. I also have good past experience with Nexvortex for sip services, although a little more costly.
