I've begun working with someone who has macular degeneration and we are using a 55" UHD TV as his display - the laptop screen blown up very large, and that's working quite well so far.
The thing is (and I realize I may be in "brain dead" state here), I have not found a way to make the laptop automatically screen mirror to the TV. The TV itself will automatically accept the request without user input, and begin mirroring the laptop screen, but we have to go into Settings, System, Display Pane and activate the Connect to a wireless display link every time.
It's not that the above is impossible, but is is inconvenient. Even if we were to have a desktop shortcut that ran a command to do this it would be a lot less of a PITA.
If anyone happens to know what options exist, I would appreciate hearing about them.
At the moment we're using Windows 10 21H2, but I expect we'll update to Windows 11 very soon, as this client has no computer experience to speak of and I can see no point in teaching Windows 10 then dealing with Windows 11 later.
