Android streaming performance

Thread is derailed.

News is about telling you what happened. Talk is about interpreting it for you. Fox is talk, not news. In fact, it goes even a step further and tells you what to think about what you're seeing.

If you want to actually know what's going on in the world, I suggest you check out Vice, visceral truth with no spin. There will be Pullitzers in the near future.

Al-Jazeera was inappropriately flagged by the Bush Administration as being a terrorist network, when in fact it's funded entirely by the Government of Quatar, who are our friends and allies. Al-Jazeera US is a fantastic network that allows no ads and does not spin anything, at all.

Reuters is good but getting worse.

BBC is better than any major market domestic.

NPR does a fantastic job of getting both sides of any story, although admittedly it leans a smidge left, although NOT the individual shows like Marketplace or the higher rated ones that make up the morning, evening, and weekend news shows.

That'll get you started. Check out apps like Feedly for android, subscribe to a few of those and then compare them, story for story, to Fox, and then you may learn why it's not respected. Then we can discuss who owns Fox and what their motivations are.
