Hey Guys,

I have an Acer Aspire AST690 Desktop power on the machine the hard drive begins to run all lights come on and fans kick in, but the screen stays black. All cords are connected and screen works fine with other computers. I've checked the power supply, tried unplugging the hard drive (because I've had that cause the screen to stay black before) I've tried re-seating the ram and that didn't work tested the power supply its good so I'm stuck what is going on? any suggestions?

Reset CMOS

Either yank the battery out while the computer is unplugged or look for the jumper that resets it.

I had this once on an old desk top every thing ran hdd ran fans ran it turned out the cpu had failed replaced cpu problem solve its odd how some m/b will power every thing up but no display

Does anyone know a way to test a cpu out of a machine?

Also if u have a spare video card pop it in and see if it fixes it
