I'm currently doing some self learning when it comes to Server 2012 r2. I have a server setup at home with a domain that i purchased. I was able to set everything up and get it rolling properly, the only thing that gets me is shared folders. How do i map a shared folder that accessible from basically anywhere. I don't want to go to the access anywhere website, and am using a .net domain. I believe directaccess is made for this purpose, but requires enterprise edition windows. Can someone give me to a tutorial on how to do this without a VPN!

Thank you in advance for any advise on this!!

Number one rule in this business is security. If you are not going to secure the connection with VPN how do you plan to secure it?

WEBDAV is exactly what i was looking for. I wanted to put tools that i use on the server and be able to map them to some of my computers and then access them from basically anywhere. I set it to windows domain authentication.

You can also use offline files. Probably not exactly what you're looking for but it is very easy to implement and does offer the best speed.
