So I got a 3 tb external seagate to use with my xbox 360. The xbox can only read fat32(and supposedly hfs). Everything I have read online says the xbox can only use mbr, not gpt. Well mbr/fat32 is limited to 2tb is my understanding.

So my coworker pulls out his magical xbox drive formatting software and formats my drive to 2.7 tb on fat32.. I take it home and the xbox sees 2.7 tb, so does windows

What am I missing here.. ?

Edit: got my answer.. xbox freezes and crashes anytime it tries to read or write.. strange how even easeus partition manager(what I used to partition it down to 2tb) lets you create fat32/mbr above 2tb.
