I have been going back and forth on whether to just give up on my business or not. I finally decided to keep at it, and here's why. I had a small one line ad in the Yellow Pages. No calls, of course. So AT&T calls me trying to upsell another YP ad, and at first I was trying to convey to them where they could stick their expensive advertising. So I keep getting the sales droid to backtrack, and finally I get him to give me a larger ad, about 6 or 7 lines, with extra features like coloring, and an ad that normally goes for $180 mo was mine for $25/mo.
He had to get his manager's approval, and after he explained everything to the manager, including the fact that I rely on disability right now and thus can't afford a whole lot of cash towards advertising, the manager said ok. So, after a couple years of running virtually no ads at all outside of that one line in the Yellow Pages and some Craigslist posts, I have a business again.
I put in this ad under "AAA Byte Buster Computer Repair" so it would be closer to the top.
