Anyone else get emails like this?

I received an email today with the following text. Google marked it as SPAM, and I'm tending strongly to agree with that. Just want to see if anyone else is getting stuff like this.

Hi. I have 25 used hp pavilion 500-281 desktop i want them service and load to window 10 Home.

========

About a year ago I had someone start texting me with a similar proposal. They went away when I asked if they had already purchased the licenses.

Let me guess - they can't contact you by phone because they're profoundly deaf and need you to upgrade the computers while they're in hospital for corrective surgery?

It's a familiar pattern. Run away.

All the time always a scam.

I make them go away I give them a price and say CASH only. There gone after that.

I've had several. They are for a church in the middle of a "war torn" African country.
I tell them it will cost $500 per machine. They don't email after that.

Likely to involve a false check from scammer for well over the amount, with the scammer hoping to get the difference quite quickly, I suspect...

Business owner out by that amount, plus bounced check fees...?

Exactly. Or they pay with a CC well over the amount then ask for the difference back before work can commence.
