Hi everybody, its been long time since i shared my experiences with you but Today i have something new. 6 month ago when i shared my on site business experience, success came with in the first 12 months after that thread.

Some of you argued on my thread that i am not on right path but today its been proven that those who knows everything and criticizing my previous threads so negatively, they where all wrong and maybe even didn't like what i achieved probably they couldn't!!

After working very hard and systematically finally i have managed to be come very popular technician in my 120000 populated town and wide areas circles my town. Last year i invested $5000 for marketing alone and when i mentioned here some technicians called me stupid.

Well Here is where i am now; I am not planning to pay yell.com anymore also no more Thompson local and no more any of them!!! Yes that's right after serving over 500 customer in 18 months now word of mouth bringing more business than any paid adverts!! Specially having 14 website with almost 300 individually optimised pages and over 1000 important first page keyword in search engines i am getting almost 12-15 new customers every week and regular customers start calling or recommending to their next door , relative or friends, i am more busy than ever.

Maybe some of you wont believe me but i even start turning jobs because to busy to cover them! i have already 2 subcontractors working for me as an on site technician and 2 weeks ago i just opened new shop and very busy from the first week so i have to hire 1 more staff and got my self a partner just to run the business better.

Lots of laptop repairs DC Jack, Motherboard and video card Jobs mainly. and more windows install, recovery, upgrade, fixes than anything and selling a lot of components, PC, Notebook. I recommend everybody Who is successful on on-site repair business like me, Stay local as you can with your coverage area and Must consider to move in premises one day!! maybe a year or 2 or 3 years after.

I opened my shop with in 18 months i started as on site technician and now i have my own business with pure savings from my on site repair business. I didn't even start advertising for the shop but the shop advertise it self + i am bringing lot of work from onsite business. i sell more PC or Laptop on site than shop and bringing the old computers given free by the costumes to the shop and sell them there and no more driving about here, there and everywhere or expensive advertising so ill make sure people find me.

When i started first day i had no money in my pocket to fill the tank of my car but i worked hard and never spend a penny for 18 months but now its time to spend money:)

I wish all of you guys can achieve what i did.

Remember you must do;

You must do every good idea what was written on this site i am not going in to details just search the site an you will find them all!!

Work hard and save a lot so you can afford professional adverts like yellow pages. well optimised several websites dedicates your town and 1 website each areas surrounding near distance of your town so you dominate everywhere close by

Do quality and professional work and most important keep your prices higher than your competitors. people thing you better when you more expensive. customers who is looking for cheap repairs??? let them go to others. they are the hardest type to dealth with anyway. if you no good at what you do than keep your prices competitive but not a lot less than others

Make sure you save at least $10000 so you can invest for the business ( most of it for the fist year marketing and websites ) Make sure you look smart and have clean looking car, all tools you need, accept credit card, cheque, pay pall ect. all.

Finally spend all the money you saved back to the business ( first year savings only ) so you can quickly generate more business so you don't wait years to get busy. don't be shy!! just buy the best ads that you know its working well in your area

Here is my 1 of 14 shop websites. www.computerrepairalfreton.com

I'm sorry. I had trouble reading over the sound of you blowing your own horn.

Even allowing for English not seeming to be your native tongue, your post is very hard to understand.

The guy has some success, shares it with us with a little insight on what worked and what doesn't and you say he is blowing his own horn?

Good on him I say and thank you for sharing it with us. Yeah, English isnt his first language, but its readable. There is a lot to learn from this guys previous posts too. In one of them he wrote a big list of all the advertising he tried mentioning what worked and what didn't. Again, good on him.

Thanks mate if it wasnt people like you i would stop trying to share my experiences. i feel like i am emberasing my self some times but i had hard times when i started my business almost 2 years ago and suffered a lot, it was never easy and thats why i am trying to talk strait or maybe litle hard but maybe some body who will read my threads and prepare them self harder. i never argue i am %100 right but there must be something good for others so this way i can help. i found lot of importand info in this forum and helped a lot in my succes and just maybe i can help 1 or 2. Thanks.

So I'm a tad lost, you have 14 websites? Why?

i am sorry you asked me something i can not explane easy with my limited english but ill try. I live in the area wich is midle of 3 cities and 10 towns with in 10 miles. for SEO reasons as well as aplying all latest seo techniuqes i also purchased all the domain names same with this towns eg; www.computerrepairripley.com , www.computerrepairalfreton.com etc.

One of the main reason was to dedicate each site to town spesific and bring all of them page one with bing, google, yahoo. i also wanted the power of several keywords to bring my site up in first page with in first 3 positions.

It will be long list but below i just want to show you some of the keywords i like to be appear first position or at least first page wich i am already on with most.

List is my target words but the way i designed like IF YOU TYPE IN "COMPUTER AND LAPTOP SERVICES" YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND MY SITE TOP POSITION GLOBALY.

Or laptop keyboard repair sheffield or what ever pc or laptop repair related keyword with the town or city name i have a big chance to appear first page.

Below keywords the target but if you combine any words with keyboard, hard drive, windows, virus removal, recovery etc. i still get my sites showed up.

ALSO FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU TYPE IN COMPUTER REPAIR ALFRETON 3 DIFERENT WEB SITES OF MINE OCCUPIES 5 LINK FIRST PAGE GOOGLE. OR IF YOU TYPE IN COMPUTER REPAIR CHESTERFIELD AGAIN YOU WILL SEE 3 OF MY SITES ONE UNDER ANOTHER POS 1-2-3 and i have several keywords bring many of my sites with more than 1 link from each site.

if you do SEO i think i can help you with your business. if anybody wants first page organicly what ever the keyword i can bring it. but if the word is very competitive than it would cost more.

part from on page SEO wich is easiest part so i do it my self, some of the off page SOE i get it very cheap;

Wow that's very interesting, Gives me a different to look at my site when we finish it. Thanks alot btw the info after the = needs to have "" around it

example {color="black"}blah blah {/color}

Thanks for the update, I caught 2 things...

Clean vehicle
Word of mouth is best

My truck is absolutely disgusting on the outside (and sometimes inside!)...I really need to get it washed more often.

Word of mouth is really working for me and I track all calls!

....and most important keep your prices higher than your competitors.

I'm confused. Your website says this

We are the most affordable computer repair company.

and this

Competitive Price - Free Advice - No Fix - No Fee - Prompt Service

And I peeked at your price list and they do seem quite a bit on the low side. So, do you recommend we keep our prices competitive, the most affordable, or the highest?

I'm not confused.

Affordability is a personal perception dependant on individual status. He is simply using the term to build confidence in the value of his service offering to his prospective customers.

He didn't say significantly higher prices or 200% higher or anything like that, just higher - which makes sense to me as people do often perceive a better experience/knowledge/service comes with a higher price. Ever heard the saying 'you get what you pay for' ?

Competative prices - again he is using this in a marketing context and building confidence with his prospective customers that his prices arn't silly.

I would look at his words from a marketing perspective rather than looking at his words in the literal sense.

Incidentally when you looked at his price list and determined that they seemed low - what were you compairing them to, his competitors or prices in your own locality?

Web site you looked at was for the shop prices and depents what you classed your quality? I am the most affordable trusted scheme member, fully certified, fully insured technician who only use quality replacement products for pc or laptops. if you want to know what i charge for on site repairs here is the site; www.computerserviceuk.com also remember when i charge for hdd replacement as well as the profite I make for selling hdd, I charge custumer for replacement than finnaly charge him installing operating system so with in 3 hours i end up $160 or some times more. Its all about the calculating the right result :)

Sharing experience or spamming?
I spend more than 1 hour to wrote my experiences and only doing this once every 6 months so why in earth shall i spam? i remember you left same reply when i post my last thread 6 month ago. what are you trying to do? whats the problem? please any unrelated, meaningless. replies by private mesage!!!
What is spam anyway do you really know??

Congrats on the success of your business; nice to see a very successful startup. Yes, it looks like it took some $$$ on initial advertising, but you can see it is really taking off. Thank you for giving us the update. Kudos!

I am glad that your doing well and you do seem to have a lot of good advice to offer. I'm not trying to attack you or your business or anything like that. But I do have a problem with a couple things. It's great and I expect everyone who has success here to come and share their experiences. I enjoy reading them and it helps motivate me to do better. But your initial post was very condescending to me. It had such a cocky and arrogant attitude that I had a hard time reading it without getting upset. Again, I'm glad your doing great and I want to hear your stories, but try and do it without the arrogance.

My other issue is that many of your posts are contradictory. Some threads you say your busy, others your slow. Sometimes you say to charge or do this, then in another you say not to. It's hard to follow advice when there isn't any consistency.

Again, don't take this personal because that isn't my intention. I just think that most of the negative reactions you receive are because of the superior attitude you portray. And yes, you appear to be a very intelligent business man, there is also much for you to learn. So feel free to offer your advice and we value it, but don't think that someone else can't do better. Or don't think that you can't learn much from the techs on this site.

So, if you toned back your attitude and cockiness, opened yourself up to the possibility you can learn form techs here, and kept your posts consistent; then you would be much better received.

Hope that helped clear some thins up.
