Got a Compaq laptop with XP. It post and then goes into the Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last known Good Configuration, and Start Windows Normally. I have tried all of these and I will see a .5 second of a Blue Screen and the system reboots.

It started doing this after turning off some things in MSCONFIG, Startup tab.

How can I resolve this?

1. make sure all the external devices like CD in the ROM, USBs, printers are not connected.

try to select the following option:
"disable automatic restart on system failure"
it may lead u to some error to understand the problem better.

I can't believe I completely missed the "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure". Its been a long day. Thanks for the help and quick fix.

It's not a fix..
Your just stopping your computer from restarting on system failure..

I read somewhere using the 'break' key to pause the BSOD screens; haven't tested this myself.
But you need the BSOD error code and go from there.. I usually find its a bad stick of RAM with a BSOD, but not always

It ended up being a GameAdvance service I turned off in msconfig. I am pretty sure it was spyware/malware. Ran Malwarebytes and has taken care of the problem.
