I know I have done this in the past. I need to pull the xp code off from a slaved drive. i'm using magical jelly bean. I keep getting an error loading hive. the folder is windows\system32\config\software correct?

Just load the Windows directory

Also, FYI, jellybean works in minixp the same way, just load the hive on the drive

probably a corrupted hive - try one from system volume information

I'd also guess the windows\system32\config\ is tanked....it's one of the more common areas of the hard drive to corrupt if a drive is about to start failing..high mileage area.

Gonna have to peel a recent RP HIVE from the snapshot folder.
