Not to mention Ajit Pai is a Verizon stooge, too.. which is why the whole net neutrality thing is upon us.... Verizon paid good money to have him in the position to do Verizon's bidding.

I've always believed that the amount of good that could come from the government knowing everyones location and location history would far out weight the cons.

Imagine then, perhaps a camera w/ a mic mounted to your forehead, so the government could *truly* know what you are doing at ll times...; I mean, what is the harm?

So rather than the just typical insidious marketing purpose spying, you are actually advocating forced 'govt monitoring of all citizens' locations'...for the 'good of the state', perhaps for 'security purposes', as in...'sacrifice a little liberty for some security, presumably the good of the state's investigative powers, perhaps?

This isn't just the gov't knowing everyone's location though. This is carriers selling your location data to third parties that we don't know about that aren't supposed to have it. Who know who else they are selling it to as well. It's already been hacked as well showing how little they care about securing your data. But as long as Ajit Pai is head of the FCC nothing will ever happen to fix this.
