WOOT! 48hourslogo competition - Take a look and tell me what you like!

Fellow nibblers,

As you may know I am actively and feverishly working on completing my website for an insane target date.. so I delegated some design work to 48hourslogo and would like your thoughts and advice about which to choose. The initial designs have been sorted and now I am down to picking between 3 designers.

These things are almost invariably a matter of taste.

That said, I was surprised to see so many designs with poor legibility. Not sure if its a matter of designers from non english speaking backgrounds, or just people unfamiliar with basic design principles, but many of them I found quite hard to read.

I like 38 by Rykos, because its simple, nicely balanced, good aspect ratio and easy to read.

I like the basic concept of 29 by Jaize, but think it needs some refinement from what s/he has there now.

#10 and #38 are my favorites. I like that they are clear, and look modern and professional.

Like the clear lettering of 19 but the icon sucks. Like the distinctiveness of #1 (which I can visualize as a store-front lighted sign) but the business name is not as eye-grabbing. I doubt you can trademark that icon.

I like #38 the best, I also like #27 that one jumped out the page first but I think 38 is the better design.

#1 - be sure it will work in multiple areas, like a square area, a small area, an icon, a tshirt, etc

I like #30. #33 looks commercial, not a bad thing, but the yellow-orange color suggests Caution or Trouble. Maybe that's what was intended? I also find the mouse "tail" a little too lifelike. I want to snuff it out! And with touch pads and tablets the new wave maybe it's already outdated? (.....as I type this from my ipad.)
