Wired/Wireless network + printer problem

I've recently picked up a client who called me in after another tech screwed up his small office network. I fixed their wireless security etc up and everyone was able to browse again. Hooray!

Their setup is as follows:
A Vista Business Laptop
A WinXP Pro Laptop
A WinXP Pro Desktop
A HP LaserJet 3055 network Fax/Printer/Scanner
A D-Link DSL-G604T modem/router

The printer and the WinXP Laptop are connected to the router via ethernet cables. Due to the layout of the office and the cheapness of the owner the WinXP desktop and the Vista Laptop are connected via wireless.

Currently, the two WinXP machines can connect to the printer with no problem. The Vista laptop can ping the printer, can browse to its config page, can browse to it's address in explorer (where I'm presented with an empty Printers folder) but can NOT add it as a printer through any method I've tried. And I've tried adding it by its share name, by its IP.

Another problem is that I can't ping or browse to the Vista PC from the WinXP PC. They're in the same workgroup but they just can't see each other. I was unable to test anything further with the other WinXP laptop as the user was out of the office and took his laptop with him.

Can anyone help?!

Yep, all that is done. Also tried disabling the firewall but that didn't help either.

I feel like I'm missing something painfully obvious.

did you rename vista's workgroup to MSHOME? no typos? Vista sucks trying to share with xp. I had the same issue once going from xp to vista, however XP could see the vista folders, but I kept getting access denied message. I remember having to create a new user in the vista shared drive with permissions called EVERYONE then checking all the boxes.

Weirdly enough, I tried adding it as a local printer AGAIN even though I had:
10.1.1.6
10.1.1.6_2
10.1.1.6_3

in my list of Standard TCP/IP ports from previous attempts. I used 10.1.1.6 again with the latest drivers, it failed. I deleted the printer. Tried it again using 10.1.1.6_2 and it suddenly started working with no problems, rebooted the laptop a couple of times to make sure it didn't magically "lose" the printer and it kept working. So it's fixed I guess.

I don't know WTF.
