Hey all,

I know my site isn't ready for actual visitors yet but before I spend a bunch more time finishing it off I would love to hear what you all think.

Link is in sig or just www.tapit.net.au

Currently known issues\placeholders:

  • Stock images in slider
  • "Say hello to TapIT Solutions!" is just another space filler advertising the M&M that is right next to it
  • Wording in general needs work (call to action, about us, pricing, services etc)
  • Blog posts are still placeholders (i have a bunch nearly ready to push in for SEO goodness)
  • Book now page only has test packages
  • Social Media links are missing under the email

I am also concerned that I have too many services to choose from or am pricing too aggressively in order to get my foot in the door, thoughts on that would also be much appreciated.

I plan to start officially operating by June at the latest so I have been taking things slow, doing my research and figuring out processes to optimise efficiency (these forums have been an amazing asset thus far!)

Thanks in advance!

I like it, didnt have but a minute to look at it though but right off the bat it felt odd to me that the "Say hello to TapIT Solutions!" is on the right side. Better to have the H1 seo opportunity on the left anyway since its a bit higher in the html code...though not really sure how much of a diff that makes.

There's not too much to look at yet, other than the overall layout and the prices page. I like the look of it and it kept me engaged. Nice layout/theme choice.

I'm not sure you have too many service options, at least not in my opinion. One thing I did notice was when I clicked on a service link, the link includes that # thingy that scrolls the page to the right spot. Totally unnecessary with your current layout. In fact I like it better without that at all. The way it is right now I lose your logo/name/number information and gain very little.

Also, on your price page, you might consider having the pricing paragraph span the two columns so it is separated and highlighted a little more clearly.

My thinking was people read left to right so having a call to action there would give more click throughs? If it is distracting or strange looking that would be counter productive, thanks for pointing it out.

That is a great point with the # scroll, it might be an easy fix since it works properly if you scroll up and select another service.. Do you think it's worth fixing or just kill the drop down menu or individual service pages altogether? (the only reason to have them is for SEO purposes TBH, was just going to fill each page with text for google to crawl)

Pricing page definitely needs a more user friendly layout, I am considering tables rather than just text.

Thanks for your thoughts

I like the look of it & it feels pretty intuitive to use. i stayed for a while as i wanted to see more.....

I like the booking screen, is this a commercial script, or something you wrote yourself? Reason i ask is that i want to add something similar to my site.

As soon as i got the booking notification I knew somebody would be commenting soon haha :) It is website the website integrated version of www.bookeo.com ($15 a month, free version doesn't support it).

I am a huge fan of how customisable and powerful it is but if nobody uses it after a few months I will phase it out and stick with whatever people prefer.. my main hope is that people buy prepaid remote support packages with bulk hours but i will have options for pro rata remote and onsite work as well and see what people go for.

I spotted the powered by Bookeo tag on the bottom of the page.... Certainly looks powerful, but i was hoping for something as powerful that i could add / run on my server. Will keep looking..... I have many customers ask for this "service", it just provides added convenience for them....

Hope it goes well for you, I am sure if you need advice, the good folks on this forum will be all to glad to assist....

Cheers

After scoring a great deal on a hp n40l microserver and testing out self hosted screenconnect, I am pretty open to a self hosted booking system. If you end up finding one please let us know :)
