windows host process rundll32 keeps popping up

Everytime i go to launch a program in Admin mode or install some software the Do you want to let this program windows host process rundll32 Box keeps popping up. If i click on yes it does nothing.

I ran malwarebytes in safe mode and it found some stuff but didn't fix the problem.

I did a search on here and found nothing.

Then go do a search on google and run more stuff than just MBAM.

Yeah, MBAM is great but it can't be the only tool in your toolbox. Plus, it's not intended to be run in Safe Mode unless you have no other options.

Have you checked your .exe settings?

I actually ran a few adware scanners and a few different virus scanners but Malware bytes was the best of them for this scenario. I will report back after trying some other stuff.

Yes, it does look like this is suspect.

And regarding "adware" scanners, that would be pretty low on my list for this type of problem.

You are missing a lot of information here. What OS is it? This happens really on any program and installation? When you say nothing happens you mean the program does not launch/software does not install? With a quick search in Google I found about 3 different answers (less than 20 seconds) This does not seem like a malware issue at all. Can you find the rundll32 in the System32 folder? (Look in all partitions) Can you find it in the registry? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Currentversion/run/.....

You need to post more information for your issue. Looks like you want the forum to do the work. You have to exhaust your options first.
