My windows 7 computer was running fine, I stepped away for abox 30 min and when I returned I noticed that iyt had rebooted itself. On login I had multiple system error boxed appearing. Chrome and Nvidea mostly. I did a reboot and I got this error message
Windows Bad image

Safemode works fine, I re installed the Nvidea drivers so i do not have those errors anymore the same for \google chrome. Now any program that is running System_32 will not open or run......

I am stumped and I do not want to do a full system wipe if i don't have to. My operating system is on an SSD with a 2 Tb drive for data and programs.

Thank you

I am stumped

Your earlier posts say you are a tech, but your post here makes you look like an end user. If you want help here you must ALWAYS post what you did to try to fix it, give as much detail as possible. It also doesn't look good when as a new user the first help you need is with your own system.

If you don't know what diagnostics to do at this point then you should maybe do more reading here or go seek help at http://forums.majorgeeks.com/

This really is a forum for techs who have enough knowledge on how to do basic diags, right now your post does not show you having done anything other than reload a device driver.

Start with some basic tests: virus scans, malware scans, etc.

Then move on to test the hardware: memtest, hard drive checks, etc.

Then move on to check Windows.

You, of course, have images of your primary system to reduce productivity downtime... consider restoring back to one of those previous images.

Everything Mainstay said .

If it works in safe mode then whatever loads normally must be duff. You coudl use msconfig to selectiveley enable startup programs till it crashes;) Or considers running SFC to check for damaged system file ie DLL.
System Restore?
