Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 upgrade over a remote connection

Is it possible to complete a Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 upgrade over a remote connection? I assume the connection will drop in the process but I don’t know if it will need any on site hands-on before the remote connection is available again.

Yes it is, I've done it a few times I start installing unattended teamviewer then start the install, and it allows me to login at almost any point.

Edit I'm actually doing one at the moment.

Yes, works fine with a local account too.
