Windows 7 SP1

I've only just started installing SP1 on clients machines and have only done a dozen or so.
I have noticed though, on two brand new machines, that after installing SP1 the USB2.0 drivers have stopped working. These were an HP Touchsmart and a Samsung notebook.
They get the exclamation mark in device manager saying something about the driver not being signed.
Uninstalling them, restarting the machine and letting it reinstall seems to fix it.

Hmmm, haven't seen that problem with any of the SP1 installations I've done, but good to know "just in case". Thanks for posting.

I have only updated a handful so far (don't get to work on too many Windows 7 machines unfortunately, Vista Vista Vista) not issues. Looking at the release notes, seems like a minor update.

Installation went much faster than Vista SP1, which always seem to go on forever.

SP1 has been nothing but a problem for me, ever since installing it, I've been having power related issues, like it not entering standby, or not shutting down, it locks up sometimes while attempting to do this. I havent check windows update for a patch yet.

I have no intention of hijacking this thread.

I've installed SP1 on dozens of Win 7 PCs over the last month or so and haven't had a single problem. Other than bundling up all the updates, there's really no new function for the average end-user.

Have the integrated Win7 w/ SP1 .iso's been released to technet yet?

Have one on the bench now, SP1 fails to install. Haven't found a solution yet, and from a Google, neither has anyone else.

Yes they're available for download now in all the usual versions. I recently read a tutorial on another site that outlined a method for combining the x86 & x64 versions together to create a single All in One installation DVD that will allow any version of either flavor to be installed (when the ei.cfg is removed of course). I'm going to test this out whenever I get an opportunity. I've seen a few of these on the torrents, but I don't trust them.
