i updated to 1709 on my multimedia mini pc kodi kept crashing as soon as i rolled back it stopped crashing so looks like i will have to stay with older build till it is fixed.

Odd. My Kodi works just fine. What version are you using? Im using 17.6.

As a side note, you are aware that you can get Kodi from the Windows store right? Although I don't. I prefer to download it.

17.6 i have even gone to the lengths of a fresh load of 1709 before driver updates crash, after driver updates crash no addons just kodi if i roll back to previous version work flawlessly on a Lenovo Q190 with multimedia remote and a digital tv tuner.

Yeah! I still use Windows 7 Pro for my personal computers. I do have a desktop and laptop running Windows 10 Pro for educational purposes so I can correctly address problems my clients have. They all prefer 10.

This. This is why I hate it, this is why NONE of my own computers run it.
