I downloaded the windows 10 iso using M$ tool kit

from my Windows 7 pro laptop

Can I use this to upgrade any version of win 7 or 8 home or Pro

Yep, just use the windows 10 media creation tool. I fact I like to redownload the iso periodically, that way if I do a reinstall, there are usually very few updates to do. I did a hard drive replacement yesterday for example, I had maybe 1.5-2 hours tops into it. That's counting installing the drive and windows. With Windows 8 and lower, you could be forever and a day it seemed installing updates.
